Every watch, measured
Will it fit your wrist?
Real dimensions for 553 watches, checked against the brand or a hands-on review. Lug-to-lug, thickness and lug width first, because those decide how a watch wears.

Buying guides
All guides- The best watches under $500Under $500 is where most people buy their first good watch, and where the choice is widest: Japanese automatics, solar quartz, and some of the toughest watches ever made.
- The best watches under $1,000Under $1,000 buys Swiss automatics with 80-hour power reserves, sapphire crystals and some of the best-finished microbrand watches made.
- The best watches under $2,000Between $1,000 and $2,000 the microbrands and German tool-watch makers compete directly with the big Swiss names, often with better specs per dollar.
- The best watches under $100Under $100 is almost entirely quartz, and that's a strength: accurate, tough and cheap to run. Casio and Timex dominate here for good reason.
- The best watches under $200Under $200 adds solar power, slimmer cases and more refined designs to the toughness of the under-$100 field.
- The best automatic watches under $500Under $500 is where most people buy their first mechanical watch. Japanese makers dominate, and several microbrands put the same movements in better-finished cases.

How we measure
Every dimension carries its source. Manufacturer spec means the brand published it. Measured in a published review means a hands-on review put calipers on it, which is how most lug-to-lug numbers are known.
When we can’t source a number we leave it blank rather than guess. More on our method.
