Cartier publishes one starting price for every watch, so a chronograph, a skeleton or a gold piece may be quoted above $430. Damaged parts like a dial, crystal, crown or bracelet are only replaced and billed with your approval.
The battery service includes new seals and restores water resistance, not just the cell.

Cartier or an independent?
Quartz Tanks and older Cartier automatics built on ETA movements are straightforward for a good independent. Current Santos and Pasha models use Cartier's in-house 1847 MC, and gem-set and precious-metal cases need Cartier's parts and refinishing, so those are better left with Cartier. The $60 battery service includes new seals and a pressure test, not just a new cell.
