Tissot
Tissot is a Swiss watchmaker owned by the Swatch Group. Charles-Félicien Tissot and his son Charles-Émile founded it in Le Locle, in the canton of Neuchâtel, in 1853. Russia became its largest early market, and the company opened a branch in Moscow. In 1930 Tissot and Omega merged to form SSIH, one of the groups that later became the Swatch Group. Tissot is unrelated to the firm Mathey-Tissot.
Tissot was one of the first companies to make an antimagnetic wristwatch, in the early 1930s, and it first worked as an official sports timekeeper in 1938, timing ski races in Villars-sur-Ollon. Its best-known current model is the PRX, a steel watch with an integrated bracelet that was first sold in 1978 and reissued in 2021. A 38 mm PRX in Damascus steel and titanium versions was announced in November 2025.
