Raymond Weil
Raymond Weil is a Swiss watchmaker based in Geneva, founded in 1976 by Raymond Weil and Simone Bédat; Bédat and her son left in 1996 to start Bedat & Co. Weil led the company until he retired in 2002, and his grandson Elie Bernheim has been CEO since 2014. It remains an independent, family-owned company.
From the start the brand sold both mechanical and quartz watches and aimed them at buyers at the lower end of the luxury market. The company cites music and the arts as its main source of inspiration. Current collections include the Freelancer, Millesime and Toccata lines. In 2023 the Millesime Small Seconds won the Challenge Prize at the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG).
