Karkazian Jewelers

Karkazian Jewelers is a family-run jewelry store in Clovis, near Fresno, with a watchmaker on site rather than sending repairs out. Founder George Karkazian trained as a diamond cutter before studying at the Swiss Horological Institute in Beirut, graduating in 1971, and has run watch and jewelry shops in the Central Valley since the late 1970s. The current Shaw Avenue location has been open since 2009, and George now works alongside his wife and daughters.

The shop handles the routine work most people need: battery replacement, bracelet sizing, and full service and overhaul on mechanical and quartz watches. Seiko is the brand it services most, and George holds certifications from Seiko, Bulova, and Citizen as well as coursework through Fresno State in high-grade watches and jewelry. The shop says it is an authorized Seiko service center, though that claim should be confirmed directly with Karkazian if it matters for warranty work.

Because this is a jewelry store with an in-house watchmaker rather than a dedicated repair counter, it's a reasonable stop for everyday service needs, especially on Seiko and Grand Seiko pieces, alongside jewelry repair and sales. Walk-ins can ask about turnaround and pricing on-site, since neither is listed online. The shop is open Monday through Saturday, closed Sundays, with shorter hours on Saturday.
