What is an Oyster bracelet?
Rolex's three-piece-link metal bracelet with wide, flat links, the standard bracelet on Rolex sports watches.
Design
The Oyster bracelet has three rows of flat links, usually brushed, sometimes with polished centre links. It appeared in the late 1940s and is now on the Submariner, Explorer, Oyster Perpetual and most Rolex sports models.
Modern versions use solid links and clasps with quick adjustment: the Easylink extends the bracelet by about 5 mm, and the Glidelock on dive models adjusts in small steps without tools. Other brands use 'oyster-style' for any similar three-link bracelet.
